Danke trotzdem
PietPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerSo I’ve built the controller for it, but how do I get those 2 Controllers (LightController and MTC4PF) to work as 1 loco and not 2 different ones. That would obviously be a problem because both are located in the same train.
Regards
PietFebruar 24, 2021 um 15:05 Uhr als Antwort auf: MTC4PF – MattzoTrainController for Power Functions #2472Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerWell that explains… But would it theoreticly be possible to solder three cables together to achieve something like a Y-Cable?
Februar 24, 2021 um 14:21 Uhr als Antwort auf: MTC4PF – MattzoTrainController for Power Functions #2470Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerBut how do you achieve that it goes to both? I have done that via breadboard and my cables dont have a variant with female to 2 female/male…
Februar 24, 2021 um 12:16 Uhr als Antwort auf: MTC4PF – MattzoTrainController for Power Functions #2468Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerShure, but I mean the cables that go from eg the Power-Pack to the controller and motorcontroller. Can I solder those together? Also how can I attach pictures to show which cables I mean in particular?
Regards
PietFebruar 24, 2021 um 11:02 Uhr als Antwort auf: MTC4PF – MattzoTrainController for Power Functions #2466Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerHello Forum,
I don’t really know how the wiring of this controller works, but its been bothering me for some time, that I cant use any loco as a MTC4PF, because the breadboard is simply too big for the casing of the loco (eg BR 146 from BB), so I asked myself if it would be possible to simply solder the cables together on plus and minus strip of the board, because thats the only part I use at the time, so the controller doesn’t take up that much space anymore. That would be helpful, but I atleast wanted to ask before I destroy a controller.
Regards
PietPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerI got a question and I have no Idea where it would fit, so i’m just asking it here:
Is it possible to build a MattzoController for 4 RGB LED’s? The reason for this is that my BR 194 is more stable when there is no motor inside so I want to install the MTC4PF in the first wagon. Now it doesn’t make any sense for a wagon to have front and back lights so I wanted to install these in the loco itself. Is it possible to do 2 of each “white” and “red” as a single controller?
Regards
PietPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerI have found the problem: Wrong calibration, so when the motor is pressing against the wall of its container, the controller will disconnect and connect again, the servos calibrating with the same, wrong values. Once you put in values that don’t make the servo “oversteer” the controller works perfectly fine for me!
Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerWelp, I did the same thing. Now it works with the V3 too, kind off, because it now has this weird thing that it connects and disconnects to my laptops usb, which I use for power while testing, constantly and the servos dont stop calibrating. Does someone have this issue too, or is it just my Laptop, because I’ve tried all outlets and switched the cable multiple times…
PietFebruar 10, 2021 um 11:12 Uhr als Antwort auf: MTC4PF – MattzoTrainController for Power Functions #2322Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerFirstly I simply want to make sure, that you used the INNER cables of the PF cable to screw into the motorcontroller, because this is crucial.
RegardsPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerOh ok sorry, I understood that incorrectly. I can’t really help with that, because I’m kinda new to this topic too.
RegardsPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerIf I am correct you have to go to Rocrail Properties, Service and on the right bottom you will find “MQTT-Service”. You put in “localhost” on the left and 1883, the MQTT-Port, on the right. IT should work then. You can also find all of this under Automation-Controller-GeneralSection-RocrailSetup
PietPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerNo problem, I just hope I can help with this, because I’ve asked this forum many times myself. It seems like one of the problems is that you have selected the wrong board for compilation in Arduino-IDE. The right one would be “NodeMCU 1.0(ESP-12EModule)”. It should be available if you have installed the ESP-8266 “Board-pack”. If that doesn’t do the trick, I am sorry because I’m not an expert at all, I have just experimented a bit in the building-process…

PietPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerJust for confirmation, you did download the tinyxml2 files, that are required, because tinyxml (1) won’t work/ I know it works with tinyxml2, from this github site: github .com/ leethom ason/t inyxml2
Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerI think your post got removed due to the link inbedded. So you can not find the tinyxml2.h/.cpp files in your arduino-library folder, is that correct?
Piet BeinekeTeilnehmerHi Harald,
I have encountered this problem aswell and it is pretty easy to fix. When you search for the #include quotes in the “MattzoController_Library.h” file you will find the “#include <tinyxml2.h>” and the “using namespace tinyxml2;” quote in line 44,45. Simply ‘uncomment’ them by removing the // infront of them. That should do the trick.
Regards
PietPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerThere isn’t really a “tutorial” anywhere by now, but that’s why the forum is there!
It would be very helpful to know what your error message/s is/are that you get, so we know, where the problem could be.
RegardsPiet BeinekeTeilnehmerNo, beacause the motors need 5v, which is provided by the usb cable and then distributed by the vin pin, so more power is not a good idea… That is why I don’t understand what my problem is, because there should be enough power provided
