DAU question: if I want to build my own switch motor, which miniservo should I buy? Are they normal analogie servos or mut they ne digital ones? Thanks!

I already run the D1 on 12 V with the D1 PowerShield without any problems with its own MotorShield in PWM Mode, controlled by the Z21 App or the WLANMouse. Another exemplar runs with L298N off its BEC functionality, delivering DCC out for an ESU decoder, also controlled by the Z21 App or the WLANMouse. So the power is not the problem… but the code 🙂 I wish to have the MQTT functionality for Rocrail, then that is what fascinates me.

Okay, thanks. And I suppose a stable MTC4PF V0.3 shall work without any problems also after the new one is out.

Can I run the MTC4PF controller on a Vemos D1 mini with a d1 motorshield over i2c or with L298N H-Bridge? What must I change in the .ino code and how would the wiring go?

Thanks, Matthias, as I said I did it.
A question to V1.0: MTC4PF runs on “normal” ESP, MTC4PU runs on ESP32. Shall the “consolidated” firmware run on ESP32 only, or also on the “old” ESP? I ask this, for I now plan ESP for MTC4PF, but do I have to buy a new ESP32 board if I want to run the new Firmware for “old” locos without PU (bluetooth)?

I have a problem with compiling MTC4PF. It complains about L9110N in the configuration header line 82. Buth there is only L9110 defined. (And I use an L9110S.) What are the differences? I suppose none important? Can I just change the word “L9110N” to “L9110” in the config line 82? With that chane it compiled okay – but will it work? Alas, I still have no Hardware to check (is on the way)

Thanks Piet & Raymond, with those 2 Board settings I could compile MTC4PU on the ESP32 and both MattzoController_Sensor_Digital and MattzoController_Switch.
With MTC4PF I had an error (L9110N), but I shall handle it in the corresponding thread.
EDIT: I found a workaround (?), see there.

Of course I have read the docu! Several times. I must have obviously overseen some things… I cannot remember wiring diagrams. Tomorrow I shall start over again.

How is the servo to be connected to which pins of the controller?
The video is nice, but has no step-by-step directions for beginners.
    Or did I miss something?
Eg. a Fritzing Schema would be nice with NodeMCU and two servos.
    Thanks, Zoltan

PS.: Also for the other items (Sensor, Loco…) some step-by-step guide would be nice. I am a greenhorn to microcontrollers but I love the idea to automatize Lego Trains, but I cannot follow here. Could be set up a forum thread for really DAUs?

    Danke, Piet!

Hi, first Quiestion: can I communicate in German in this forum, or is English preferred?

As for my problem: I am not new to Rocrail, but an absolute greenhorn for Arduino/ESP and MQTT.

I run Debian 10 Linux on my PC.
Rocrail (current version) is installed and working.
    Mosquitto is installed.
I have collected all required material to set up some automation for my LEGO project:
    – LEGO 60197 City Personenzug as the “victim”
    – AZDelivery ESP32 NodeMCU Module WLAN WiFi Dev Kit C Development Board mit CP2102 for MTC4PU
    – AZDelivery NodeMCU Lolin V3 Module ESP8266 ESP-12F WIFI Wifi Development Board mit CH340 for Switch and Sensors Controller
    – GPS-14 Reed Relay modules

Now I need to upload the required firmware (MTC4PU) to the micro controller… but I have already a problem with choosing the right board in the Arduino IDE.

Could you tell me, which board I have to choose for MTC4PU ESP32, and which one for Switc/Sensor Controller ESP8266?

    Thanks/Danke:

    Zoltan
