ZoltanParticipant
Nice work. Shall there be enough place for the servo arm to move in the closed housing?
Please share fotos from the thing if it is ready!
I glued a housing from polystyrol but I am not 100% satisfied with it.ZoltanParticipantDanke!
ZoltanParticipantI use LM2596 step-down.
ZoltanParticipantHallo Matthias!
ZoltanParticipantI find the price of the PUP Hub a robbery. 50 € for an empty plastic box with a 50 Cent bluetooth receiver inside is a no-go.
I don’t know what current the black PUP motor draws, but if under 800 mA then it goes direct with an L9110 and MTC4PF. If it draws more, use an L298N H-Bridge instead of the 9110.
I use an ESP and an L9110 with PWM with MTC4PF with Rocrail for controlling the G-size motor in my test loco (see video), and another sketch with PWM via Z21 App for direct manual control of the crocodile motor without Rocrail. MTC4PU is a great software for an IMHO useless hardware – great only for locos with already built-in PUP Hub. Otherwise use the equally genial MTC4PF without all the bluetooth garbage.
ZoltanParticipantBest to ask for help in the rocrail forum.
ZoltanParticipantYou are right, it could be, but I was not sure, for this is something overall-global.
Mattze can perhaps shift my post to there, if he wants to.
The single controller films I put into the corresponding threads.
Hier ist ein Bericht über mein “Testprojekt”.ZoltanParticipantI did not find a topic in the Forum for showing “own project efforts”, so I made up one, for I did not know, where to put my “project report”. Users can show here their own projects for other users.
ZoltanParticipantMein “Projekt” ist fertig.

ZoltanParticipantNo, but I plan it 🙂 Have but no locos yet for it.
I currently use MTC4PF, switch & sensor controllers.
(And I use Rocrail for other train setups, with a DR5000 in several gauges.)ZoltanParticipantI use a total standard PI4 with default Raspbian and the actual Rocrail zip for ARM.
Works okay.
The PI4 is big enough for all “unneeded” apps which but do not make any problem, and the installation is much easier this way.ZoltanParticipantSure!
ZoltanParticipantI soldered an Y-cable 🙂
ZoltanParticipantIn my case:
Powerpack plus (8,4 V) goes to the main switch.
Switched plus goes to VIN of controller and VCC of motorcontroller both. So it is the same plus for both. I have a common GND “bus”, for motorcontroller GND, for Controller GND and for all LED GNDs. Caution: if you want to reflash the controller, you must take away everything! And use the pure USB as power for flashing only. After reflashed, you can connect everything again. That’s why I did not solder, but used female breadboardwires. You can see it in my posts.Pictures: you have to host them somewhere (I use picr.de) and from there you can link them using the img src=”http://imagepath”/notation.
ZoltanParticipantHi Piet, why do you stick to the beadboard?
I do not use the bteadboard at all after the testing. You can use female-ended cables to connect directly to the controller pins, as I do in my “loco”, or you can even carefully solder the wires directly to the controller using a fine iron. This makes everything much smaller.
Enter the minimum value of the switch servo motor into the “Parameter” field, and the maximum value into the “Value” field.
Was stellen diese Werte “minimum value und maximum value dar?
Was ist der erlaubte Bereich dafür?
Sind das Winkel? Oder Zahlen, die man mappen muss?
Welcher Wert entspricht “Mitte”?
Danke!
ZoltanParticipantWas ist das Maximum für MAX_ARDUINO_POWER?
ZoltanParticipantDanke! 🙂
