      Hi,
I’m very impressed by all the work having been put into this project.
The two of us managed to built a working small setup so far. Thankyou for this great project!

Having a few Danish switches and a few from BlueBrixx, we needed to get them automated too.
The motors sold by TrixBrix where out of stock for quite a while, so I’ve ordered a few micro servo motors from AZ-Delivery. The ones available at the time of ordering where the ones named MG90S.
We’ve managed to build a housing using quite a few bricks but we would like to hide the motors in a smaller housing.

Not having 3D printed anything before nor having designed something to be 3D printed, I had a go and learnt to design something using FreeCad.

With the lack of a 3D printer, it’ll take a while before we get that printed but I thought I’d share the result anyway in the hope that some may find it useful.

Be aware, it’s work in progress.

Nice work. Shall there be enough place for the servo arm to move in the closed housing?
Please share fotos from the thing if it is ready!
I glued a housing from polystyrol but I am not 100% satisfied with it.

I don’t know if you saw the other pictures over at GitLab. There is a sort of cross shaped pocket in the housing giving room for the motor’s arm.
I haven’t added the gear plus arm to the model but might do it for a clearer pictures of how the motor is supposed to live in it’s housing.

This may help in picturing how the motor’s arm is supposed to operate within the housing.
I certainly will share pictures once I manage to print this thing. Not having access to a 3D-Printer (yet?) I would rely on someone to make a test print. Let’s see, how soon this will happen. 😉

      Hello All!

Here’s a take on a switch motor for MLC. Housing can be built around to your heart’s content.

Let me know what you think.
      Thanks!
